USES
Para describir acciones repetidas o hábitos :
I get up at seven every morning
Para referirse a cosas que siempre o generalmente son ciertas :
The sun sets in the west.
Para describir una situación permanente o una condición que no tiene inicio o terminación definida pero que en el momento es cierta :
We live in London.
Para expresar acciones y eventos que forman parte de un calendario fijo con sentido de futuro:
The train leaves at 8’30.
Para expresar lo que nos gusta y no nos gusta (usando verbos especiales tales como : Like, hate, love, enjoy, be crazy about..., tomando en cuenta que la conjugación del presente la llevan estos verbos y que el verbo principal llevará -ing en su terminación).
I like reading books.
He hates washing dishes.
She enjoys wacthing movies.
Children love eating chocolates.
Para expresar acciones presentes se usan los advervios de frecuencia, para referir la frecuencia con que el hecho acontece,every day,sometimes,always,often, usually, seldom , rarely, never.
She often studies in the libraryTambién usamos expresiones de tiempo tales com every day/ week/ year, in the morning/ afternoon/ evening / at night/ once a week/ on monday:
I go to the gym once a week.
Los verbos de sentido tambien son usados en presente simple (hear, taste, see, smell, sound ...)

CONJUGATION RULES
There is something important we have to notice when conjugating verbs in present simple, the only one person we have to change is the 3rd singular person.
1.- MOST OF THE VERBS ADD S TO THE 3RD SINGULAR PERSON (She, He and It).
read- reads
2.- ADD ES TO THE VERBS ENDING IN S,SS,SH,CH OR O.
guess- guesses
watch- watches
go - goes
3.- TO THE VERBS ENDING IN -Y WITH A CONSONANT BEFORE, DROP THE -Y AND ADD IES.
try - tries
cry- cries
